Tennessee State Parks Weed Wrangle

Tennessee State Parks invites Tennessee residents to join in the state’s annual Weed Wrangle on Saturday, March 1st, as part of a nationwide effort to eliminate invasive species from public spaces. The state’s 42 state parks are participating. The Weed Wrangle is a collaborative effort between the Garden Club of Nashville and the Garden Club of America to eliminate non-native invasive exotic species and create healthy native ecosystems. Park Rangers will assist volunteers in identifying and removing invasive plants such as bush honeysuckle, Chinese privet, English ivy, and Multiflora Rose. Several parks nearby participating are David Crockett Birthplace State Park, Tims Ford State Park, Henry Horton State Park, Natchez Trace State Park, Pickwick Landing State Park, and more!
