Lindsey W. Benefield, age 92, of Huntsville, AL passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

He was born in Brace, TN, in 1932 to Ferman L. Benefield and Daisy McPherson Benefield.

Lindsey was a hardworking, loving husband and father to his wife and children, who dearly miss him and the life lessons he imparted to them. Mr. Benefield served his country in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, brothers; Ferman L. Benefield Jr. and Thomas M. Benefield; sister, Kathryn Cornutt; great-grandson, Bailey Hamilton.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Charlotte Faye Davis Benefield of 72 years; his children, Dannie Benefield (Faye), Cynthia Hughes, Donna Webster (Steve), and Darryl Benefield; his grandchildren, Steven Webster, Crissy Hamilton, Rachel Wright, Drew Hughes; his great-grandchildren, Danielle Hamilton, Colt Hamilton, Skyler Wright, Braiden Wright, Rosylyn Wright, Henry Hughes; his great-great-grandchildren, Ellie Hamilton and Macy Hamilton; two sisters, Linda Benefield and Jenny Lewis; and two nephews, Randy Smith and Jack Hall.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Sunday, March 2, 2025, with Phillip Patton officiating. Interment will follow at Kidd Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN with full military honors.
