Giles County Man Arrested for Multiple Counts Involving a Minor

A press release from Giles County Sherrif’s Office was released on Friday, February 21st. Bernie Milton Jett, 52 of Lynnville, was arrested late Thursday night as a result of a lengthy investigation by the Giles County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigators. Jett is charged with multiple counts of Statutory Rape by an Authority Figure, Incest with a Minor, and Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. This is an ongoing investigation and more charges are expected, including the possibility of additional arrest. Joe Purvis said, “I am very proud of the hard work our investigators are doing. They are fully committed to aggressively pursuing child predators, and bringing them to justice”.
