Donnie Ray Dial, 78, of Killen, passed away February 19, 2025, at his residence. He was a computer
programmer for Tennessee Valley Authority and a member of North Carolina Church of Christ. Donnie
enjoyed sports (playing baseball, softball, bowling and most of all golf). He coached softball for many
years, influencing the lives of many young ladies. He had many golfing buddies through the years,
playing at Florence Country Club and Cypress Lakes. Above all, he was a Christian and greatly
influenced many people throughout the course of his life.
Survivors include:
Wife: Jayne Dial
Son: Greg Dial (Tammie)
Daughter: Ragan Burks
Grandchildren: David Dial(Shannon), Lydia Baker(Kaleb), Collin Burks, Levi Dial(Maddie),
Lottie Burks
Great grandchildren: Avery Dial, Luke Dial, Willow Dial
Brother: Roger Dial (Julia)
Preceded in death by:
Parents: Johnnie Elmer Dial & Elois Turpen Dial
Brother: Terry Dial
Son-in-law: Jamie Burks
Visitation will be Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 1:00 – 300pm, at Greenhill Funeral Home. The
funeral service will follow at 3:00pm, in the funeral home chapel, with Don Williams officiating. Burial
will be at Shiloh Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Roger Dial, David Dial, Collin Burks, Kaleb Baker, Bengie Hines & Greg Dial.
