Carey Layne Edwards, age 66, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Monday, February 17, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. She was a native of Alaska and a cook for the Kenaitze Tribe.

She was preceded in death by her father, John J. Coveyou; and mother, Gertrude Segura Frostad.

She is survived by her husband, Hugh John Edwards II of Lawrenceburg, TN; one daughter, Jamie Okane of Lawrenceburg, TN; three sons, Jarrod Edwards of Lawrenceburg, TN, John Taylor of Waynesboro, TN, and Jeffery Taylor of Savannah, GA; eleven grandchildren, Max Baty, Joseph Taylor, Orion Taylor, Emily Harlam, Landen Okane, Kalynn Okane, Rhylan Okane, Greyson Okane, Aaron Okane, Zayden Okane, and Addilynn Okane; one sister, Virginia Fraase, Kenai, AK.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
