William Jamal McElroy

William Jamal McElroy departed this earth on February 13, 2025 at
Maury Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. He was a
native of Pulaski, Tennessee. He was born February 16, 1992 to William
and Margaret McElroy.
At an early age Jamal confessed his faith in Christ and was a member of
Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor
Fitzgerald Gilbert.
He was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and he had a love for playing
loud music. He had a love for his Grand Marquis sitting on 22’s. Also
being nicknamed Big Papa by his friends.
He leaves to cherish in his memory, a loving and devoted mother
Margaret McElroy Cathey, Stepfather John Cathey. God Mother Jennifer
Howard. Sisters Kendra Bryant, Pulaski, Tn, Lakeisha Slater, Columbia,
Tn, Stepsisters Bianca Cathey, Rogersville, Ala., Chelsea Crosby,
Columbia, Tn. God sister Jene Howard, Two brothers Lamar Bugg,
Pulaski, Tn, and Michael (Leah) Johnson Florence, AL; Devoted TT’s
Ingrid Moody, Nashville, TN and Sonya Moody, Pulaski, TN. He also
leaves to cherish in his memory a host of aunts, uncle’s nieces, nephews
and cousins.
The funeral service for William Jamal McElroy will be held on
Thursday, February 20, 2025 beginning with the visitation at 12 noon
and the 1:00 pm service immediately following at Temple of Praise
Church 1030 Ragsdale Ln, Pulaski, Tennessee.
Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
