Sarah Helen “Granny” Lamar, age 96, of Pulaski, TN passed away peacefully at her home on February 16,
2025. She was born on November 6, 1928.
Helen affectionately known as “Granny” by everyone that knew her, was a devoted wife, mother, and
grandmother. Granny was a faithful member of Fairview Church of Christ for many years and always
kept her faith near. She was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, cheering them on with the crossing of her
fingers and the motioning of her pretend tomahawk. She will always be remembered for her fighter
spirit, her infectious laughter, her loving wisdom, and devotion to her family. To know her was the
understanding that you were loved beyond words, much like she poured her love into her egg custard
pies. She will be forever missed but leaves a little of her sprinkled in each one of her children,
grandchildren, and great grandchildren. The memories she gave us will forever be shared.
