Richard Lynn Grimes

Richard Lynn Grimes, age 70, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed
away on Sunday, February 9th, 2025 at his residence in
Lawrenceburg. Richard was born on June 20th, 1954 to the late
Walter and Barbara Jean Grimes in Hohenwald, TN.
Richard proudly served his country in the United States Air Force
for 18 years of duty. Richard went on to work for several years
and would retire from the United States Postal Service.
In his spare time, he enjoyed playing Battlefield 4, watching his
cartoons, working on his cars, and spending time with his loving
family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Veronica Grimes; his
children, Lisa Keeton, Christopher Grimes, Shannon Grimes, and
Timothy Grimes; grandchildren, Hannah Grimes, Andrew Grimes,
Gabriel Grimes, Jonathon Grimes, Kaitlyn Anthony, Alex
Appleton, Kyria Keeton, Gillian Keeton, and Louis Grimes; great
grandchild, Eastyn Haddock; step children, Casey Curtis, and
Candace Benson; step grandchildren, Zachariah Keasling, Austin
Keasling, Katariina Keasling, Clarence Luallen, and Kyra Benson;
brothers, Stanley Grimes and David Grimes; sister, Patricia
Dodson, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Friday,
February 14th, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The Funeral Service will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home
on Saturday, February 15th, 2025 beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will be held following the service at Wayne County
Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
