Harlan Named Cattleman of the Year

During the Lawrence/Wayne County Cattlemen’s Association’s annual meeting February 1, the group named Lawrence County cattleman Roy Harlan as the 2025 Cattleman of the Year.  Harlan was raised in farming, and has spent more than 40 years raising Charolais (shar-uh-lay) cattle.  During the evening it was announced that Wayne County’s Lily Pope was the 2025 recipient of the Cattleman’s Association Scholarship.  Pope plans to attend the University of Tennessee and major in agriculture.
