Florence Officials Warn of Scam

The City of Florence is warning residents of a scam, where a caller contacts you and offers to “help” you pay your utility bill.  Instead, victims have had money stolen from their accounts.  They remind residents to never give out personal or banking information over the phone.  Also, never send money to strangers.  If you have concerns or receive a suspicious call, contact Florence Utilities’ Customer Service line at 256-760-6512.
