Fallen Lauderdale County Deputy To Be Honored

Lauderdale County Alabama Sheriff’s Office has announced that fallen deputy John Randall McCrary will be honored by having his name placed on the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, DC.  He will be honored during National Police Week, which begins May 11.   McCrary died February 28 of last year as the result of complications from gunshot wounds he sustained while serving commitment papers a few weeks prior.  Donations may be made at any Bank Independent location to help McCrary’s family with travel expenses so they may attend the ceremony.
