Lawrence County EMS January Stats

The Lawrence County Emergency Medical Services has released the monthly statistics for January. Throughout the month, the department had 620 requests of which 439 patients were transported. Other than local transfers to Southern Tennessee Regional Lawrenceburg, 52 were transported to Maury Regional, 9 to Southern Tennessee Regional Pulaski, 21 to North Alabama Medical Center, and 42 to non-adjoining counties. Refusal of care and no care required calls was 105, canceled calls and no patient found was 65, and fire standby, law enforcement assistance, and mutual aid requests were 23. Improvement involved receiving a 5th 24-hour ambulance which was approved by the Lawrence County Commission. Call volume for January 2025 remained steady compared to December 2024. Continuing education opportunities for January included courses on blood-borne pathogens and domestic violence. Looking back on 2024, LCEMS responded to approximately 6,950 requests and had over 4,700 transports.
