Lewis County Locals Receive Governor’s Volunteer Stars Award

Congratulations to Ryder Ward and Stan Smith, who were chosen as Lewis County’s exceptional adult and youth volunteers for 2024 and will be receiving the “Governor’s Volunteer Stars Award”! As Tennessee’s leading volunteer recognition program, the GVSA works to honor exceptional people, companies, and nonprofit organizations throughout the state. On February 16th, 2025, Governor Bill Lee will host an awards banquet at the Cool Springs Marriott Hotel in Franklin to honor Mr. Smith and Mr. Ward. The Hohenwald team, along with other volunteers from throughout the state, will be honored there for their unselfish efforts and positive impact on their communities.
