Public input A $50,000 Healthy Built Environments (HBE) grant has been given to the City of Columbia, and as part of this effort, the city is asking locals for feedback on the plan. Public input will heavily influence potential initiatives that emphasize walkability, public areas, and general community ties. Residents can voice their opinions at an open house-style forum hosted by the city. This event will serve as the initial step toward supporting the East Columbia Small Area Plan’s future implementation, including detailed projects to enhance the community’s general quality of life, accessibility, and health. This will take place on Tuesday, January 28th from 4:30 to 6:30 at Dr. Christa S Martin Community Center at Fairview Park located at 871 Iron Bridge Road.
