Norma Frances Robinson Ashley age 81, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away January 23, 2025. Norma is survived by her children Robin Thompson (Kevin), Wren Fraser (Christian); and her sister Brenda Jane Freeman. Surviving grandchildren are Brittany Walden (Jeff), Reagan Ruble (John Forrest), Adam Fraser and bonus grandchildren Austin and Ian White. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years William D. “Bill” Ashley, her parents James and Agnes Robinson, and her sister Betty Ann Hawkins.

Norma was born in Columbia, TN on March 16, 1943. She spent her formative years in Fairfield, TN and graduated from Wartrace High School. She worked at State Farm Insurance, was a stay at home mom, served as the cafeteria manager at Cascade School, and retired from the USDA in 2005 in order to become a full time Nana. Being a mother and grandmother was the greatest source of her joy. She expended most of her energy into making sure that her daughters and grandchildren were blessed beyond measure. She also enjoyed good books, puzzles, shopping, and was a seamstress.

Norma wanted to be Annie Oakley when she grew up. Her love for horses was passed to Wren. Therefore, in lieu of flowers the family would be honored for donations in her memory be made to Freedom Reigns Ranch, 2080 Arthur Hardison Rd, Columbia, TN 38401 or at www.freedomreignsranch.com/norma.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday, February 02, 2025, at The Vaughan Venue, 219 North Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, TN. A celebration of life will be conducted at The Vaughan Venue at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 02, 2025.
