Michael Joey Hardin

Michael Joey Hardin, age 64, of Summertown, TN entered his eternal home Thursday, January 23, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  He was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, self-employed, and a member of Ethridge Church of Christ.  He enjoyed flying airplanes and helicopters, riding motorcycles, listening to music, and martial arts.  Mr. Hardin served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Cicero Hardin and Joan Roberson Smith; special aunt and uncle, Billy and Beth Couch.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Betsy Hardin of Summertown, TN; one daughter, Anna Lundy (Zac) of Chambersburg, PA; one son, Harley Hardin of Summertown, TN; one grandchild on the way, Baby Lundy; one brother, Andy Hardin (Connie) of Crossville, TN; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a plethora of extended family and friends.  Those serving as pallbearers are Shawn Romer, TJ VanFleet, Chad Blasingim, David Staggs, Calvin Garland, and Bryan True.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Ethridge Church of Christ.  Funeral services will be conducted at Ethridge Church of Christ at 1:00 PM Monday, January 27, 2025, with Andy Hardin and Kirt Hughett officiating. Mr. Hardin will lie in state at the church from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN with full military honors.  The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of your choice.  Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
