The Lawrence County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition released the achievement data for 2024. Interactions with Lawrence County or Region 5 South citizens regarding prevention or resource connection efforts were 320,000 people. Prevention education materials, resource connection materials, and RX lockboxes distributed to Lawrence County citizens were 50,800 people. Families served by LCSAP’s Drug Endangerment Children’s Program were 2,350 people. Citizens connected to treatment and recovery services by LCSAP’s Region 5 South Hybrid Online Program were 270 people. Lastly, events hosted or participated in by staff and volunteers were 74. LCSAP offers prevention education, stigma reduction, community connection, resource connection, and advocacy.
