Inmate at Lauderdale County Detention Facility Charged with Child Pornography

According to court documents, an inmate at the Lauderdale County Detention Facility is accused of contacting a 14-year-old via a tablet within the facility and requesting that she remove her clothing for him and perform sex acts. According to court documents, Jamorious Deborois Vaughn of Athens was 19 years old on August 28th, 2024, when the video communication occurred. On December 5th, 2024, he was arrested and charged with electronic solicitation of a minor. He is currently facing two counts of possessing child pornography and two counts of producing pornography with a juvenile. On Thursday, January 9th he was taken into custody on those accusations. The one-count indictment was returned by a Lauderdale County grand jury in September 2024, and Vaughn was charged with first-degree robbery. This was presumed to have occurred between April 26th and April 27th, 2024. Vaughn has petitioned for juvenile offender status in connection with the robbery case. March 4th is the date of his hearing as a juvenile offender. He was arrested on the robbery accusation on May 7th, 2024, and is still being held at the Lauderdale County Detention Facility.
