Marcus Alton Johns, 98, of Florence, passed away December 31, 2024, at his residence. He was a produce merchandiser and a member of Sherrod Avenue Church of Christ.

Survivors include:
Wife of 75 years: Frances Wright Johns
Son: Michael Johns (Chris)
Daughters: Janet Bowers & Regina Cook (Stan)
(6) grandchildren; (9) great grandchildren

Preceded in death by:
Parents: Vernon Jackson Johns & Reba Hine Johns
Brothers: Elvin Johns, Cledith Johns, Waylon Johns
Sisters: Effie Beavers, Lucille Quillen, Joyce Bowman

Visitation will be Friday, January 3, 2025, from 11:00am – 1:00 pm, at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm, in the funeral home chapel, with Justin Pannell officiating. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mars Hill Bible School or to Sherrod Ave Church of Christ.
