Earl P. Moore, age 90, of Lawrenceburg,TN passed away Monday, December 30, 2024, at NHC Healthcare of Scott in Lawrenceburg,TN. He was a native of Lawrence County,TN, retired from the Lawrence County Highway Department as a truck driver, and a member of Christ Community Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rufus S. Moore; step-father and mother, John and Grace Kilburn Suratt; one brother, Donnie Moore; and one sister, Juanita Attkisson.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Moore of Lawrenceburg,TN; three sons, Ronnie Moore (Maria) of Leoma,TN, Gregory Moore of Westpoint, TN, and Ron Plunk of New Hope, AL; one daughter, Bettie Ann Hunter (Mark) of Lawrenceburg, TN; four brothers, Ronald Suratt of Lawrenceburg,TN, Carmon Suratt of Lawrenceburg,TN, Thomas Suratt of Lawrenceburg,TN, and John Moore of Chelsea, AL; four sisters, Rosetta McMahan of Lawrenceburg,TN, Reba Stover of Lawrenceburg,TN, Martha Huntley of Leoma,TN, and Ann Moore of Johnson City,TN; eleven grandchildren, Matthew Moore, Adam Moore, Dillon Moore, Richard Lamberth, Jay Lee Lamberth, Amanda Smith (Justin), Amie Moore (J.J Sexton), Andrew Moore (Sara), Laura Moore, Josh Plunk, and DeAnna Fox; three great-grandchildren, Aiden Berg, Averlie Sexton, and Aurora Smith.

The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to Caris Healthcare and NHC Scott for their wonderful care of Earl.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM Friday, January 3, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Friday, January 3, 2025, with Roger Troup officiating. Interment will follow at Mimosa Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or Clothe our Kids.
