January is named after Janus, the Roman god of beginnings and doors.
Around 45% of Americans make New Year’s resolutions, the most common of which are to lose weight, get organized, and save more. The tradition of New Year’s resolutions can be traced back to ancient Babylon.
According to the National Insurance Crime Bureau, more vehicles are stolen on New Year’s Day than any other holiday.
