First Day Hikes on New Year’s Day

As part of the parks’ year-long Signature Hikes series, Tennessee State Parks will present First Day Hikes on New Year’s Day in most of the 59 state parks. The free guided hikes, conducted by park rangers, are open to all ages and skill levels. This can be a terrific way to fulfill your New Year’s aspirations to be more active, ranging from strolls to challenging outings. Tennessee State Parks have about 1,000 miles of trails. The Tennessee State Parks website has information on the First Day Hikes, broken down by park. David Crockett, Tims Ford, Henry Horton, and Natchez Trace are amongst these parks.
