Willie Sue Whitecotton, age 84, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away
on Saturday, December 21 st , 2024 at The McKendre Village in
Hermitage, TN. She was born on April 27 th , 1940 to the late Howard
Brown and Geneva Crouch Brown Rochelle in Lawrenceburg. She
retired from Bellsouth after 30 years of service as a maintenance
administrator. She worked with various charitable organizations, one
organization being the Pioneers, where she belonged to the Clown
Corps, and loved the interactions that she had with all the many
children attending. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and
was attending Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In her spare
time, she enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking, playing music,
crocheting, antique hunting, and spending time with her loving family
and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters,
Oneda Rochelle and Barbara Holden; brother, Jerry Rochelle; special
aunt, Thelma Riddle; several aunts, uncles, and extended members of
her family, and her beloved canine companion, Twinkletoes.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Randy Whitecotton;
children, Regina Marlowe, Eddie Kilburn (Cheryl), Duane Whitecotton,
Angela Whitecotton (Philip), and Pamela Martin (Michael); sister,
Jeloa Bonee; grandchildren, Tara, Heather, Elizabeth, Christina,
Sarah, Adam, Ava, Megan, Raegan, Tyler, Asher, Micah, and Townes;
great grandchildren, Carter, Logan, Annalee, Piper, Campbell, Miles,
Mason, and Collins; special friend, Bobbie Bauer; several nieces and
nephews.
Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Friday,
December 27 th , 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The funeral service
will begin at 2:00 p.m. Brother Chad Clanton will be officiating.
Interment will be held at Gum Springs Cemetery.
Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home is in charge of handling all final
arrangements.
