In a 139-59 victory over North Carolina Central on Saturday at Food City Center, The Lady Vols basketball team broke the NCAA single-game record for three-pointers made in a game, making 30 from beyond the arc. They also broke the school and SEC records for most points scored. The Lady Vols extended their winning record at home to eight games since the previous season, improving to 8-0. In her first season on Rocky Top, UT head coach Kim Caldwell recorded the best start by a Big Orange women’s captain with the team’s eighth victory to start her career. With the 30-trey total, UT rewrote program, SEC, and NCAA records. Their 63 long-range attempts also set program and conference records. The score exceeded UT’s previous high score of 133, which was scored at the San Juan Shootout on November 29th, 2002.
