Lillian Woodard Fox, age 87 of Cornersville, passed away Tuesday
December 17, 2024 at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Pulaski.
Lillian was born December 28, 1936 in Lynnville, TN to James Dawson and
Effie Lou Compton Woodard. She was a member of Beech Hill Church and
a devoted homemaker. She loved working and helping take care of the
farm and her grandchildren, but when she had a free minute she liked to
watch women’s basketball. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents
James and Effie Woodard, her loving husband of 70yrs. Samuel P. Fox,
brothers Jack and Joe Woodard, great granddaughter Keeland Carpenter.
Visitation will be 4-7pm Friday December 19, 2024 at Carr & Erwin Funeral
Home. Funeral will be 11am Saturday December 20, 2024 at Carr & Erwin
Funeral Home with interment to follow in Beechwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the
charity of your choice.
Survivors include her daughters Theresa Carpenter (Henry) of Cornersville,
Julie Stubblefield (Ricky) of Petersburg, Darryl Whitehead (Mark) of
Cornersville, Christie Braun (Donaven) of Greeneville, brother Jerry
Woodard (Alpha) of Gallatin, sisters Mildred Storey (Don), Margaret Helton
both of Lynnville, sister in law Alice Woodard, grandchildren Stacy
Carpenter, Scott Carpenter, Dawn Fox (Heath), Megan Coble (Clint), Keith
Brown (Berry), Kelli Hood (Cody), bonus grandchildren Ella Braun, D
Braun, numerous great and great great grandchildren. Special thanks from
the family to Meadowbrook Nursing Home, Compassus Hospice and
special friend and caregiver Vickie O’Malley.
