The exhibition “A Winter’s Day with Quilts,” which will debut on December 17th and run through January 16th, is proudly presented by the Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts. Over the holiday season, the KDAC will feature quilts from a private family collection, both traditional and modern. Stories are told via quilts. They stand for memories, festivities, and artistic expression in addition to being a useful necessity during the chilly winter months. This family collection examines both historical and contemporary quilting styles. Just in time for winter, stop by this warm show! The public can visit the Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts for free Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 4:00 and on Sundays from 1:00 to 4:00. 217 E. Tuscaloosa St., Florence, AL is the address of the art center and you can contact the center at
