TDCI oversees the businesses and professions of several hundred thousand Tennesseans. When license holders are found to have broken the rules governing their professions, these boards, commissions, and programs have the authority to take disciplinary action, which may include revoking licenses and imposing civil penalties. When consumers believe they have been the victim of unfair or dishonest business practices, observe unlicensed activity, suspect misbehavior, or observe other infractions of the relevant laws or regulations, they are encouraged to file complaints with the Department of Commerce and Insurance. You can visit www.tn.gov/commerce/dar/rb.html to see the latest Disciplinary Action Report.
