Firefighters Prevent Fire From Spreading to Ethridge Home

Firefighters responded to a structure fire at shop located at 301 Busby Road in Loretto around 6 a.m. Saturday.  The blaze was reported by multiple motorists passing by, who reported that the fire was posing an imminent threat to the nearby home.  An off-duty THP Trooper and Cadet were nearby and stopped to wake the residents and ensure that the home was evacuated.  Firefighters utilized tankers and a water shuttle operation to successfully extinguish the fire before it spread to other buildings on the property.
