A Single-Vehicle Crash Claimed Life of a Killen Man

A single-vehicle collision on Lauderdale County Road 47 close to Lauderdale County Road 140 claimed the life of a Killen man. The victim, Zachary A. Riley, 30, veered off the road, collided with a culvert, and then overturned, resulting in serious injuries. At approximately 11:45 a.m. on Monday, troopers from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s highway patrol division reported the collision. Riley was not wearing his seat belt and was sent to North Alabama Medical Center in Florence to receive medical attention. Riley succumbed to his injuries was pronounced deceased at the hospital on Wednesday, according to ALEA. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency troopers are still investigating the crash.
