UT Southern is Searching for New Chancellor

Randy Boyd, president of the University of Tennessee, announced the search committee that would be responsible for finding the University of Tennessee Southern’s (UT Southern) next chancellor. As the chief academic and administrative leader of the Southern campus, the UT Southern chancellor reports directly to the UT President and is a member of the UT System leadership team. In addition to fostering the ongoing growth of the campus’s academic programs and research output, the chancellor is in charge of exercising visionary leadership and pursuing the goals outlined in the UT Southern Strategic Plan. To name a chancellor in June, the search committee will formally begin its search in January under the direction of Donde Plowman, chancellor of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Professors, staff, student body, alumni, and UT Board of Trustees are on the committee.
