Ethridge Council Accepts Bid for Repair of Tornado Siren

Members of the Ethridge City Council met for an emergency meeting Monday, with the sole item of business being the funding needed to complete repairs on one of the city’s two tornado warning sirens.  The previous low bidder on the project had retracted their bid.  Council members were informed that the next lowest bidder had adjusted their bid to the same amount as the first.  Council members voted to accept the bid, as adjusted.  Officials anticipate that the project will be completed by the end of December.
