According to court documents, indictments were returned against two men on different drug offenses following two grand jury hearings in November in Lauderdale County. According to his indictment, John Joseph Cabral Jr., 70, of Florence, is accused of trafficking methamphetamine, unlawfully possessing a controlled substance, unlawfully possessing marijuana in the second degree, and unlawfully possessing drug paraphernalia. Authorities reported that Cabral was taken into custody on July 26th by the Lauderdale County Drug Task Force and the Florence/Lauderdale Special Operations team following the issuance of a search warrant at his residence on Lauderdale County Road 107. 32 grams of crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, mushrooms, and drug paraphernalia were discovered by the agents. Fentanyl trafficking, two counts of chemical endangerment of a child, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia are among the charges against Brandon Jamal Harden, 36. The indictment names two kids, ages six and eleven. The affidavit claims that during a traffic check on November 21st, Lauderdale County Sheriff’s deputies discovered 39 fentanyl pills, 12 hydrocodone pills, and paraphernalia on Harden.
