Lawrence EMS Monthly Stats for November 2024

The Lawrence County Emergency Medical Services has released their monthly statistics for the month of November. Throughout the month, the department had a total of 514 requests of which 333 patients were transported. Other than local transfers to Southern Tennessee Regional Lawrenceburg, 68 were transported to Maury Regional, 3 to Southern Tennessee Regional Pulaski, 24 to North Alabama Medical Center and 21 to non-adjoining counties. Refusal of care and no care required calls was 98, cancelled calls and no patient found was 77, fire standby, law enforcement assistance, and mutual aid requests was 6 and community outreach was 4. Call volume for November 2024 continued to be steady compared to the previous month and same month in previous year with a nominal decrease in requests. Continuing education opportunities for November included training courses on medical assessment of syncope patients and EMS Operations during mass casualty events. Community outreach continued with EMS participating in the Christ Life Academy Community Helper Day, where they had the opportunity to show the students what EMS does and how they serve our community. Lifesaving training courses continued with 3 classes teaching over a dozen individuals in hands only CPR, how to use an AED, Stop the Bleed bleeding control techniques, and general first aid topics.
