William Howard Gleason, Sr., age 71, of Falkville, AL passed away Friday, November 29, 2024, at his residence. He was a native of Peoria, IL, and retired project manager from Love’s Travel Stop. He loved to garden and spend time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Gleason and Frances Josephine Vogt; and one son, William Howard Gleason, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Gleason of Falkville, AL; seven children, Tracy Happs (Roy) of MO, Elizabeth Knopp (Paul) of AR, Brian Gleason (Leslie) of MO, Melissa Barber (Derek) of AL, Matthew Gleason (Sydney) of TX, Jerril Aulabaugh (Holly) of AL, and Marissa Sanchez (Hansel) of FL; two brothers, Mark Gleason of KY and Ted Gleason of GA; two sisters, Cathleen Loser of IL and Kim Gleason of Dubai; twenty-three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Those serving as pallbearers are Matt Gleason, Carson Aulabaugh, Hansel Sanchez, Brian Gleason, Dennis Terry, and Deke Willis.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Wednesday, December 04, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 12:00 PM Wednesday, December 04, 2024, with Allan Lowman officiating. Interment will follow at Center Point Methodist Cemetery in Leoma, TN. In lieu of flowers, make donations to Kiker Express Foundation by check or via website or bring in a toy train to donate to the children’s hospital in memory of Kiker Plaza who was loved by Uncle Bill.
