Lewis County Sheriff Announces his Retirement

Dwayne Kilpatrick will retire at the end of this year after an incredible 43-year career in law enforcement, which included 30 years as the Lewis County Sheriff. At their regular meeting on February 24, 2025, the Lewis County Board of Commissioners will select a substitute to fulfill his term. Any qualified applicant is required to deliver by mail or in person a Sherrif’s qualification packet to the Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission. The deadline is on Friday, January 10th, 2025.
