County officials from throughout the state come together for the COAT conference to exchange ideas, talk about best practices, and recognize the accomplishments of local leaders. In recognition of her efforts, the Lawrence County Register of Deeds, Terra Dickey, received the “Tennessee Outstanding Register of the Year” award from her fellow Registers throughout the state. During the 2024 session, Dickey presided over the Tennessee State Register of Deeds Association. In recognition of Tommy Lee Kidd, the Circuit Court Clerk for Lawrence County, he received the “Tennessee Outstanding Court Clerk of the Year” award from his colleague’s court clerks throughout the state. Kidd was presented with another award, “COAT State Court Clerk of the Year,” later in the evening at the COAT awards ceremony. Kidd is now the TN State Court Clerks Association’s legislative chairman. Congratulations on these distinct honors!
