Small Business Saturday in Columbia, Tennessee

The City of Columbia encourages citizens to continue supporting small businesses over the Christmas season and to take part in Small Business Saturday on November 30th. Mayor Chaz Molder has formally declared November 30th to be Small Business Saturday in Columbia in recognition of the critical role small businesses play in the community. American Express created Small Business Saturday in 2010 to encourage consumers to support small, independently owned businesses and promote community well-being. It is observed every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Small Business Saturday highlights the distinct beauty and economic significance of small businesses as an alternative to Cyber Monday and Black Friday, which concentrate on big-box stores and internet shopping. This is a wonderful way to support those in the community and truly get into the holiday spirit!
