Perry County is now the 57th county in Tennessee to join the Everywhere You Look, UT campaign. By 2030, the goal of this effort is to have a mural in each of Tennessee’s 95 counties. The effort began in 2018 and has since produced 63 murals throughout the state. The first mural in each county is funded by the university. The mural can be found on the original Bank of Perry County building in Lobelville. Mayor, Robby Moore, is ecstatic about the new addition to the town and to be involved is an honor. Rural residents’ daily lives are impacted by the UT Institute of Agriculture and the UT Extension office in Perry County. They give locals the information and skills they need to improve their livelihoods, support local economies, and improve family well-being by offering educational programs in agriculture, community resource development, family and consumer sciences, natural resources, and 4-H youth development. Along with delivering professional guidance to support local governance, enhance public service, and fortify infrastructure, the UT Municipal Technical Advisory Service and the UT County Technical Advisory Service also assist local governments. Go check out the new addition to the area!
