Jimmy Michael Scott passed away Friday evening, November 15 th , 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Giles County, Tennessee on July 29 th , 1948, and was 76 years old.
Jimmy was a U.S. Army veteran. He loved to hunt and fish. He was more than just an avid gamesman; he
was a true steward of the outdoors. His passion for hunting and fishing was evident as he was always
eager to share his knowledge and take anyone with him. The family lovingly referred to him as a “river
rat”. He enjoyed repairing and restoring antique cars. His home shop was more than just a place to fix
cars; it was a place for anyone needing a helping hand. There was not anything that he couldn’t fix.
Whether repairing a lawn mower or welding on someone’s trailer, he took pride in helping others. His
generosity extended beyond his garage as he often helped friends, family, and neighbors, never asking
for anything in return. Jimmy loved to cook. He is known for his amazing fish cookouts and deep-fried
turkeys. His generosity knew no bounds as he took great joy in cooking for everyone including friends
and neighbors. Jimmy’s hospitality and welcoming nature made everyone feel like family. He will be
deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched and the people he helped.
