Jerry Wade Briley, 78, of Killen, passed away November 18, 2024, at his residence. He was a member of Atlas Church Christ, serving faithfully as a Deacon for over 40 years. Jerry was a retired carpenter and member of the Carpenter’s Local #1209, owned Briley Cabinet Shop and worked in heavy construction. He was a member of the Shoals Antique Engine and Tractor Club, where he served as the Secretary/Treasurer for over 20 years. He graduated from Colbert County High School in 1964 and recently celebrated his 60th class reunion. Jerry was a Veteran of the United States Army Reserve.

Wife: Peggy Glover Briley, Killen, AL
Daughter: Dana Briley Roberts (Michael), Killen, AL
Sister: Bernice Kirby, Trinity, AL
Grandson: Jake Ellison Roberts, Killen, AL
Preceded in death by:
Parents: Lonnie Grant Briley Sr. & Virgie Iowa Grissom Briley
Brothers: Malcolm Briley, Lonnie Briley, Jr., William Briley
Sister: Mildred Berryman
Visitation will be on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 12:00pm – 2:00pm, at Atlas Church of Christ. The funeral service will follow, at the church, with Bro. Miles Stutts officiating. Burial will be at Atlas Cemetery, with full military honors at graveside.
Pallbearers will be: Quint Glover, Charlie Glover, Lincoln Glover, Graig Clover, Chris Briley, Jason Briley, Jameson Hines & Hunter Peebles.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Cleatus Tidwell, Ottie Smith, Phillip May, Elders & Deacons of Atlas Church of Christ, and members of the Shoals Antique Engine & Tractor Club.
Memorials can be made to Atlas Church of Christ Building Fund or North Alabama Christian Children’s Home.
