Academic Achievement Recognition for E.O. Coffman and Summertown Elementary School

For academic achievement, E.O. Coffman Middle receives Level 4 recognition! In terms of student development, E.O. Coffman achieved a noteworthy milestone during the 2023–2024 school year. EOC received a Level 4 out of 5 that the Tennessee Department of Education assigned. “Mr. Brent Long and his staff invested a lot of time and effort in evaluating past performance while keeping a laser-like focus on areas of improvement,” said Mr. Michael Adkins, Director of Schools. Their commitment and diligence are demonstrated by their level 4 recognition. Well done, E.O. Coffman! Also, Tennessee Academic Performance Standards are still being exceeded by Summertown Elementary School! For the second year in a row, Summertown Elementary School receives a Level 5 for academic achievement. SES was a 2023 Reward School with one of the greatest student achievement rates in the state, earning a Level 5 ranking and a state letter grade of A. The faculty and staff of SES may receive additional honors even though some data is still restricted and the school is recognized as a Reward School for 2023–2024. Director of Schools Mr. Michael Adkins commented, “SES continues to perform at a high level of excellence. While some receive these honors at times and then fall from the top, SES has consistently maintained a standard of performance that few others can match. We applaud Mr. Mabry and the SES staff and faculty for their ongoing academic achievements.”
