Solid Waste Convenience Centers in Lawrence County

Solid waste convenience centers are being planned at several locations in Lawrence County. Residents in other sections of the county won’t have to go to the transfer facility in Lawrenceburg thanks to these facilities, which will offer a convenient location for residents to drop off their waste and recyclables. Currently, possible sites for these centers are being identified, with a focus on the northern and western regions of the county. Each center will need 2.0 acres of property and should be located in easily accessible locations. It is desirable that the western location be close to or have easy access to Highway 64. The facilities will be kept to demanding levels of cleanliness and offer regular daily garbage removal.
