In Lawrence County, personnel responded to eight service requests on Wednesday night. These included auto accidents, an automatic aid structure fire, and a high-priority medical call where a patient was not breathing and had no pulse. Fire and EMS provided advanced life support and bystander care to the patient on the scene. The patient had good and viable life signs when they were transported to a definitive care institution. Additionally, more than 20 students and many instructors spent four hours conducting vehicle extractions in the rain. These individuals are on the third night of a five-night, of the one-day course on vehicle extrication certification. We thank all emergency personnel for the consistent hard work and continuous growth made to make Lawrence County a safer place.
