Structure Fire in Maury County

Over the weekend on Sunday, a structure fire was reported in Maury County ultimately resulting in significant damage. Maury County Fire Department was dispatched to a residence in Stoneybrook neighborhood around 7:00 pm where a heavy fire had started in the garage and was swiftly moving throughout the attic of the home. Two residents of the home were transported by Maury EMS due to smoke inhalation. The fire was ruled to be under control within 30 minutes of arrival. Maury County 911, Columbia Fire and Rescue, Mount Pleasant Fire, Maury County Sheriff’s Department, and Maury Regional Emergency Medical Services all responded to the scene and helped to get the fire under control as well as ensure the safety of the residents and surrounding neighbors.
