New Sheriff Selected for Giles County Until 2026 Election

A new Sheriff has been selected by the Giles County Commission to fill the remaining term of former Sheriff Kyle Helton. Joe Purvis will fill the remainder of that term, until the next Giles County General Election in August of 2026. Purvis is the deputy former Sheriff Kyle Helton recommended when he stepped-down to take his new job with the office of Homeland Security last month.
