With a total project value of $300,000, Fayetteville Main Street is delighted to announce that the City of Fayetteville, Tennessee has received a $225,000 Downtown Improvements Grant! Fayetteville Main Street and the South-Central Tennessee Development District arrange this competitive annual grant, which is given to communities throughout Tennessee. Since Fayetteville hasn’t received a grant since 2018, this is a big chance to improve their downtown.
Two significant upgrades that will enhance the downtown experience for both locals and tourists will be to better connect Stone Bridge Park with the center of downtown. The public upgrade section will include more lighting along the greenway and a new downtown parklet. These improvements will enhance public safety and create a more welcoming downtown. The Main Street district property owner upgrades will get about $150,000 of the award. Applications for exterior upgrades up to $15,000 will be available to property owners starting in January. To guarantee significant improvements across the area, a specialized committee will choose the beneficiaries of these grants. As they proceed with these exciting downtown renovations, stay tuned for more information in December!
