The 2024 Election Results

The 2024 Election results are in! On Tuesday, November 5th, Donald Trump won the 2024 Election as the 47th President of the United States. Nationally, with 51% of the American votes, Trump was able to secure the win against Kamala Harris who had 47.5% of votes. Lawrence County voted for Trump with 84% of the votes and Harris with 15%.
Lawrenceburg voters elected Darryl Watson to Seat 4 on the Lawrenceburg City Commission. Watson polled 2,243 votes to Aaron Story’s 1,248 votes to win the seat. Shannon Hurst Watson won the District 9 School Board seat vacated by the resignation of Niki Hartsfield. Shannon Watson got 1,293 votes to Robin Cobb’s 75 votes.
In other races, Scott Dejarlais polled 14,108 as the 4th District Congressman, and Page Walley, State Senator, got 13,838 un-challenged votes. The 70th District Tennessee House Race saw Clay Doggett win Lawrence County with 8,346 votes and Tennessee House 71st District Kip Capley got 7,386 votes. Jamie Sevier got 2,735 complimentary votes for Seat 3 on the Lawrenceburg Commission.
Marsha Blackburn racked up 82% in the United States Senate race and Tharon Chandler polled 343 votes. Dallas Luna wins the Ethridge City Commission race with 127 votes to Robin Cobb’s 75 votes.
