TDOT’s ‘Nobody Trashes Tennessee’ campaign, which encourages Tennesseans to take part in community cleanup events, has announced its fourth annual ‘No Trash November’. This is a month-long statewide project. Over 2,200 volunteers participated in more than 150 events throughout the campaign last year, gathering more than 86,000 pounds of garbage from the state’s roads. The Trash Masters Rewards program is new this year and aims to motivate people to participate in ‘No Trash November’. A litter quiz, cleanup events, and awareness-raising are just a few of the activities that earn points for participants. November is the ideal time to sign up because participants can earn double points for all activities. Points can be exchanged for special merchandise and discounts at nearby establishments, among other benefits. It’s an entertaining and interesting method for people to help make Tennessee litter-free while getting acknowledged for their environmental dedication.
