New Roadways and Extensions in Lawrence County

The city of Lawrenceburg Street Department continues to work on a stretch of roadway that ultimately might extend Springer Road all the way to Good Hope Road. The department is currently constructing a one-half mile stretch beginning on Good Hope with the remaining .7 mile to Mattoxtown still on the drawing board. The city hopes to complete these projects sometime next year. Meanwhile, TDOT, is busy extending Motivation Drive from its’ current intersection with W.O. Smith Road, in the industrial park, across to Buffalo Road. The new 2 lane road will feature a bridge span over Little Shoal Creek and the Mt. Ararat Road. TDOT spokesman, Brock Vaughn, said that the target date for completion is end of August 2025. The new connection will give another access to the industrial park.
