Woodland Park Dedication to Charles Kenneth “Ken” Wiles’

The playground at Woodland Park was recently dedicated in Charles Kenneth “Ken” Wiles’ honor by the City of Columbia. A cherished community leader, lifelong learner, and devoted public servant, Ken Wiles was well-known for his unshakable dedication to kids and his goal of improving Columbia for everyone. In order to commemorate the enduring influence of Wiles’ work, the dedication ceremony brought together community people, family members, and city authorities. Since Wiles regularly spent time at Woodland Park with his family and friends, the playground’s dedication has particular meaning. His unwavering commitment to the city he loved is demonstrated by his civic engagement, education, and local government services to the Columbia community. In honor of Ken Wiles’ legacy, the City of Columbia extends an invitation to the public to visit Woodland Park and take use of the recently renamed Ken Wiles Playground, a place that will excite kids and families for many years to come.
